The results of the project HRMinHEI were presented on Friday 30 November 2018 at the University of Rijeka.

The event was opened by prof. dr. sc. Snježana Prijić Samardžija, Rector of the University of Rijeka and she emphasized the importance of raising awareness of Human Resource Management in higher education institutions and he formalization of the function. "The HRMinHEI project has yielded certain processes and tools useful to the University of Rijeka and I believe they would be useful to other higher education institutions in Croatia and Europe" added Rector Prijić Samardžija.

The conference presented an innovative online tool for self-evaluation and analysis of Human Resources Management (HRM) functions at European higher education institutions developed within the project and available at higher education institutions in Croatia and across Europe on the web site https://hrminhei.azvo.hr .

Human Resource Management Guidelines were also presented at the higher education institutions in the Republic of Croatia along with selected processes and tools related to HRM development at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Rijeka and the Algebra University College. Participants also had the opportunity to hear how the University of Zadar and the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy of the University of Split are developing this function.

Throughout the project, a document entitled "Overview of recent European and national policies in regard to human resource management at higher education institutions within the European higher education area" was created and published. This work provides a theoretical basis and framework through ten key dimensions of human resource management and illustrates their changes at higher education institutions. It also provides a brief discussion of the existing policies at the European Union level and also provides an analysis of human resource management policies in the field of higher education for the Republic of Croatia, Austria and Finland.
